everyone worth voting for is in this one. damn you Phila :x
I voted for Nas. If his album sucks though I'm rescinding and giving it to Doom or Ghost...or Masta Ace.

Ghost...he woulda got it for his verse on "Tony/ Montana" alone, but his album plus the Theodore Unit CD and his other guest shots seal it up.

I voted Kanye. His style of production has appealed to me long before he populirezed it and it continues to appeal to me even though its no longer "cool" to like it. I think mf doom raps off beat and a few of the cuts off the ghostface lp were disposable, still thought it was a very solid lp though. Kinda corny to have emcees that didnt release an lp this year on the list they didnt get my vote because they didnt drop anything.

i like how you voted for kanye because you like his production when this thread is about the best emcee of the year.theaggravatedjew wrote:I voted Kanye. I think of projects as a seamless piece of work and his style works well with his production. If beats are absolute fucking garbage like say MF Dooms I can't be bothered with listening to the emcee.MCBwatdown wrote:i like how you voted for kanye because you like his production when this thread is about the best emcee of the year.theaggravatedjew wrote:I voted Kanye. I know you didn't just front on Solomon Childs and Party Arty.
"Mama can you hear me?" was the joint, man.
"..based on the best sellin' novel
with blood on the bottom of the grey goose bottle
you muhfuckers is finished.."
Party Arty had two guest spots on "raw and ready" plus "on my way" and both of them are better than anything by Brother Ali, Common and MF Doom did this year combined.
Ghetto Dwellas-get dirty/who's the dirtiest.12" >>>>>> Common-resurrection.
Where my man Race Car Bed Sleeping Rapist Virgin at?

He's got an ill voice but he doesn't come with lines that dope very often.Poolside Loungin' wrote:I know you didn't just front on Solomon Childs
