i remember c-rayz walz said el-p was jewish in a myspace bulletin years ago when he was shouting out jews he had worked with.

from what i've read, el-p said his parents were the artsy hipster type, so he's probably more of jewish lineage than anything else.

i think el is as jewish as block. like somebody in the family was jewish but he doesn't associate wiht the religion and i think his mom who raised him was Catholic. there was a time everyone thought every artists on def jux was a def jew.

either way, he ran DJX like a smart Jew and pretty much the best producers are Jewish so...
