Posted a link to the vid and the nightmares video on the poker forum, trying to get people to listen/buy, and one of those liberal hippy white people who will argue Death Certificate vs. Predator till the end of the day, but also has a large catalog of Radiohead and Wilco drops a "this is dull" on it.

Maybe I'm just wrong/naive, but it's so fucking frustrating trying to get people that I firmly believe would love OME's music a chance because they can't think of hip-hop in any other context than what amounts to minstrelsy in their eyes.

Dids, do you really and honestly believe that your view of hip hop is generally more enlightened than that?

I gave up long ago on trying to "convince" people to listen to what I like. Shit is mad annoying. I hate when people do that to me, so I try not to do that to other people. I just play what I like, and if someone happens to like it too, good.

Finally copped the album, couldn't wait for the physicals. Top notch work so far, Mike.

edit: dropped a review of this album on my blog. http://goo.gl/Mvg5l

Thanks again for the interview, OME.

For the record, the site is going under a redesign, so we are regulated to using the blog for stuff like interviews in the interim, which sucks because I would have loved to do our usual long-form stuff with you. Reading this just causes me to have more questions.

Just saw this through Mike's tweet. Was coming in to post it.

Great interview. Found the part about the similarities between MCs and comedians to be particularly interesting.
