Remember when many of us liked Blu?

New video from an old song.

<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/PhVQEcJvzHs?fs ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/PhVQEcJvzHs?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

Shitty quality leaks. Rehashed tracks being remixed and released with no new material. Questionable work ethics. Questionable lifestyle decisions. 3+ years waiting on the LP.

What happened Blu?

Is his signing to Sire/Warner Bros keeping him from releasing any new material? The label probably has no clue what to do with him or does not like what he has been recording for his new album.

Thats what I was about to say. Probably putting him through the same thing that MURS went through with Warner. Who knows.......

It really makes you wonder because Blu was dropping fire back then (now it seems as if he has been regulated to average guest appearances; although he did shine on The Roots album).

As far as anyone knows, STILL workin on that album...losing buzz.

Kinda sad cause he was a breath of Left Coast fresh air in 07/08.

My fav track:
Dela- Mars(Remix) off of Dela's Atmosphere Airlines...

Would link but I'm on my phone.

Didn't rate Johnson & Johnson, but wouldn't be surprised if WB want to market Blu like a more credible Drake.

He's got that fashion lighty thing going on that white people like.

He looks/sounds like he is addicted to methadone or is suffering from full-blown AIDS.

Why and the hell would he sign with a label? You know Warner isn't going to put that out with any kind of push.

I don't think he got much money at all. In case you didn't know, major labels aren't paying SHIT these days.

below the heavens tried too hard to sound throwback to me. i kind of liked j&j and CRAC though. yeah his production for sene was pretty dope.. maybe he should stick to producing for other rappers.

I'm still a fan. Anyone that signs with a label nowadays is flirting with disaster, though. I just think it's pointless.

kind of a fucked situation for him.
I wasn't checking for much west coast shit back when Below the Heavens dropped... I'd guess that most weren't.

now LA rap is hitting hard in my opinion. He's not soul creative figure in that city no more.
and with no output losing relevancy fast.

Why not turn Dirty Science into a digital label and keep murdering the internet?

Will never understand it.
