for the bar flys in here

Post by cenzi »

when I was djing at a local bar, I got Thursday Latino Nights (of course) and instead of bringing typical shit, I brought some homegrown remixes.

Just fun shit, nothing spectacular or super remixed...

The panning of the drums and pieces of the sample are way too severe on the first joint. Drums are kind of stiff, too, both the pattern and the texture.

2nd beat's my favorite. Still feels very straight from MPC to PC-ish with no mixing, but it hits and the chops are cool.

3rd beat sounds like a game show instrumental. Which is a good thing.

As far as some fun shit, yeah, this is cool.

ha. these are cool as all get out. remind me of the beats i made when i first got started and didn't have the sense to do anything other than let the loops stretch and holler.

the second joint has got me squawking along with it immediately, trying to get some albarn-after-ambien sounds out. fun, definitely.

honestly, it's all kind of silly but hip-hop as hell. ha. nice work, homie.
got more records than god.

www.myspace.com/tayoisnt is where i show how i use 'em.

Another great way to start my morning. Haha. Honestly, I wasn't diggin' the drums too much on the first beat. The other two beats, however, were dope. It sounds like you a lot of fun. Good stuff.
