Not a questionable beat in his catalog. All raw Wu shit....that may get boring at times, but still..

RZA's better when he has a focused product though...producing for himself or the Clan, he has a tendency to play around and get weird; experiment too much. When he was doing members full solos, he always seemed to shine brighter.

Also, even though some tracks were added/subtracted, Cuban Linx 2 started off as a RZA produced/overseen project and that turned out mad nice...my main question mark is GZA needing an energy transplant

Haven't all these "whole album produced by RZA" plans fallen apart? I think Method Man's last one was supposedly going to be all RZA, then he ended up only producing like 4 songs. Then Cuban Linx II was supposed to be all or mostly RZA, and that didn't happen. Now Inspectah Deck and U-God are talking about RZA doing their whole album.

I believe it when I see it. Hope it happens though.

Naw, 4:21 was always supposed to be the way it was...the RZA tracks were spawned from roughly the same sessions that CL2 started out of

CL2 was mostly RZA, but the version that RZA was in charge of/overseeing still had plenty non-RZA tracks like House of Flying Daggers, We Will Rob You, couple of the Scram Jones tracks, started working with Dre, etc... and, over time, Rae changed his mind on cuts like State of Grace, Thug World/Unpredictable, etc... think of early CL2 more like a Supreme Clientele situation

For Deck & U, those just came up, RZA's doing half of Deck's (supposedly, Deck also was complaining when he gets RZA beats he doesn't get RZA's best during Manifesto press) and U just reached out to RZA this year

His lack of energy[GZA], in recordings, gets mentioned a lot, but I have heard it's a contrast versus his live set. My homie saw him a few months back, said he was LIVE.
Maybe he needs to smoke less in the studio. I dunno.

cosigned on his live show only cause I saw him actually around the time he was promoting for Legend during the cmj season. got a drop from him for the station i was djing for, he was amped as hell that night.

but since then i've read less than stellar accounts from boarders here about his live performances. he was on tap to perform liquid swords for the don't look back series and i remember reading a whole lot of negative recaps (that is if he even did do the whole album front to back at all).

Yeah. Dude even left the stage everytime he finished his verse in the "wu-tang concert" I was at. Probably to take a nap or something.

GZA's live shows vary wildly depending on how drunk he is.

He's often very drunk.

I can co-sign this.

I have seen good and bad GZA shows. The alcohol doesn't help him any.

So this may be some bs, not that it would really happen anyways.
