He just wants to prove his worth again in the because for years he was the "man" and then he became the 4th most talked in the clan.
blame this on the joey b shit. blame this on all the success has received as a lyricist or the attention raekwon has been receiving all year.
blame this on his divorce or failed business ventures. he is hungry again but he always had it in him, it's just that he wasn't as determined like he is now.

he was always best live though. IMO.
Yeah but again live doesn't mean better on record or better albums. He has the most energy and is by far and away the most charismatic of them all.

i feel like Mef has been slept on severley the last few years. 4:21 was bonkers and cats acted like it was just another album. The new Red & Mef shit was dope and his other Wu appearances have been respectable at least.

True King wrote:I still like Meth a lot but he definitely dumbed down his lyrics a lot
seems like all his verses are on the same type of "drop shit, pop the clip, hop in the whip".
still, one of the best in the clan. I liked this Red/Meth album a lot when it dropped but aint really listened to it much since
gotta agree with this. His old style was unpredictable and that's a big part of what made him so unique, but most of his verses over the last couple of years sound like he wrote them in 5 minutes.
^^ but even his average shit is better than a lot of the stuff people like these days. cause of Def Jam's shoddy promotion system of older artists, and, ahem, "Method Man burnout"... people take dude for granted.
I hope he comes back with a vengeance and a half on rap, and just not have a first single ripping the shit out of everybody in the game. That Lauryn Hill song was good, but... the record was like a slap in the face to everyone.
I will co-sign that there are drawbacks to being too honest with people in this shit. Unless you figured out the magic formula of how much to reveal like you are Sluggo. Peace to Meth

especially considering the year & age of a lot of mcs.. method has to be one of the best live rap performers touring right now, hands down
i've been loving meth recently (he was prob the highlight of '8 diagrams' for one).. but i can't help but think a lot of the perception to do with certain wu members digressing as mcs (cappadonna/gza/rza/gfk.. rae is almost the same, mk sucks as always, odb is dead & deck/ugod are doing great imo)
Well, I don't he was the most improved, or even if he improved at all. I just think people are paying attention again and he is more hungry. I think he was just as good on 4:21 as he is today..
