I have listened to this twice, and except for a few tracks this is pretty dope.

For someone who's scene the DC/MD/VA area grow, its good. I've never heard of the kid or seen him until he got connected with Mark Ronson and Interscope. Hopefully more oppurtunities for artists in the area will come about but thats 'wishful thinking' unless more room for the 'majors' or more media outlets will become based here.

I think he sounds the best on the gogo influenced beats. but production on this is pretty top notch.

I don't know. I've heard that a few places before that he's not from within the city. But the thing is PG is not even far from DC at all so its damn near the same. Alot of the outer limit cities surrounding DC get throw into the mix of the area anyways.

Album is out today. I think it is real solid, production is pretty great. Some radio hits on here, but the album didn't really get a push besides one single.

Pretty sure he moved around but I know he went to Quince Orchard high School which is in Gaithersburg (Montgomery County)

Not really stoked on some of this, but there are some really good tracks. "World Tour" is my shit right now.

I am not going to download but I am suprised that it's getting panned like this. I cannot say I am the biggest Wale fan but I never thought he was wack and as a DMV'er, I was definitely ready to support.

I dont post a lot here but I do lurk and I get the feeling that you and I do not like a lot of the same stuff.

That said, I will support on some home-team shit unless the reviews are atrocious.

I'm the same way.
Too much talent in the DMV to go to waste.

"World Tour" is easily my favorite on the album. There are some jams for sure, but in general I like a lot of his earlier mixtape stuff more than this.

Album only sold 28k? Wale and his manager claim interscope only shipped out 30k.What exactly is the point of being on a major?
