my t-shirt is awesome. it has Avril Lavigne screaming "PUNK SELZ!" and then under it, it says "so does hairless snatch" in red, fuzzy 70's font

this t-shirt might have stopped me from getting access backstage for a few hours @ RTB. i saw Blackstar from onstage though.

Nas and Damian Marley are making awesome music together. SLEEP NOT ON IT

yooo mindbender!... lol im the guy that said whassup to u backstage. i had an insane time. met pretty much every artist on the bill except nas, mos def, and rza. and whats up with mos def bein too cool for anyone? heads was tellin me that he's normally like that... i was even with peter rosenberg and dude still brushed us off. total weaaaaksauce.

ill post some of my pics from the event if i find some downtime..

yeah, Mos Def isn't very much a people person... but he's a nice guy, at heart. Just probably worn down from all the madness over the years, the expectations, the fans pressure on his shoulders to be "that guy", and the difference between the fantasy and the reality... I'm very lucky to have one picture with the guy. He's screamed on people for trying to take his picture without asking. Oh well, that's life. Nobody's perfect, especially your rap heroes, when you get to know them better... still gotta love them for what they give.

not meeting Slaughterhouse will be my biggest regret this year. Lesson learned.

PMD is pretty much the MOST HARDCORE MOTHERFUCKER ON EARTH THAT IS NOT NAMED BUMPY KNUCKLES. His face is stone cold gangsta.

and yeah, Peter Rosenberg is mad cool. that's the homie.

yeah, I know some Mos Def, LOL. I get pissed off a bit actually when big songs come on and people don't get into it, get involved like James Brown sez, but it's all good. Not everyone can be as big of a rap maniac as I am. I know some people appreciate in silence... but still.

shit, I was right beside you when you took a lot of those... I left the stage to go watch the Nas performance with little Ason the God though

nah man... i didnt get any shots of that. i actually left the event after Nas did "One Mic" cuz i was tired as fuck. i got just regular pics with K'naan tho, with us hangin out backstage. he's definitely a down-to-earth dude. glad he was on the bill.

hate to say it, but there was some ILLLLL shit that went down after 'One Mic'

but hey, you saw Slaughterhouse. I am pisssssssed that I didn't get to see Crooked I & Co. I performed with Royce 5'9" before, but never seen Joell Ortiz (or Joe Budddddens). Glad you had a good time though.

KRS-One is mad cool, right? Pete Rock and Paul Rosenberg are down ass as well. Good people. Hip hop is all about good people and music, at its best.
