All I heard were generic beats and Em' trying extremely hard to sound entertaining. I think he forgot that the demented lyrics and cinematics on Marshall Mathers were awesome for being grim, not goofy. Guess that's what happens when you start livin' lavish. But yeah, typical post-Marshall Mathers Em'.

"the AntiChrist is back, Danny/ and it's Satan in black satin panties" = :rockout: and the Eminem I want to hear.

pre-emptive :phila: "haw. haw." ironic and funny and :teehee: , I know.

the way the album ends with such a weird line and non-definitive lyric ("this prosthetic arm keeps crushing my hard taco" x :naswtf: ) gives me some hope that he will pick up from here on the next album. 'Underground' is also the only song where he COMPLETELY sounds like the old Eminem, so I have faith he hasn't forgot.

someone in SOME interview this year has to ask him POINT BLANK: "what the fuck is up with that corny ass nasal voice you rap in nowadays?!"

Eminem: insane crazy, Hussein Shady

we all want different things from hip hop music.

I honestly might find myself listening to the same 6 bars of 'Underground' more than anything else on this album, while waiting for 'Relapse 2'.

others will listen to it all, and not mind lyrics about incestual homosexual rape.

such is life.

dejavu, beautiful, underground, hello are the most listenable tracks and they all sound like sub par Bubba Sparx. I love all the excuses being made for him. Only a white rapping homosexual could get this much love. Nas' Untitled is a masterpiece compared to this garbage but he can't get half of you whiggers to respect him. It's embarassing for the genre. seriously.

I actually listened to this when I was on the road this weekend for work. To me every song is the same, except it is a different beat. A lot of corny hooks, and lines. I will say that it is better than his last album.

Only tracks I like are Hello, Deja Vu, and Bagpipes From Baghdad.
"I just lick my lips on some LL shit, then I make 'em laugh on some David Chappelle shit. And they be on some, "let's go to the hotel" shit. I give 'em hard dick on some just got out of jail shit. The innocent man, been in the can, but I never made a statement, never been in the stand. And I'm independent now, but that been in the plans, cuz it's all about the Benjamins, man."- Cassidy

only one question: are they gonna push up the release date? :killacam:

this album literally may determine the future of the music business.

"It's really early for rumors oh well I'm just sharing what I heard. Anyways, I talked to my buddy today for those that are interested. He says people at Interscope are thrilled with the buzz the leak has created because after OTS (Old Times Sake) they were shitting their pants with the negative feedback. Now they are expecting this album to sell HUGE and they're already trying to map out exactly what they're doing the rest of the year. Right now it's 50 in late August/September, Relapse 2 in October and Detox end of November. One possibility that was thrown out there is that if this album sells big we might be getting Relapse 2 before the end of September(because that's the cut off for Grammy nominations or some shit?) because Eminem and everyone involved with Relapse/Relapse 2 "knows" Relapse 2 is the better album and "will be the one the critics absolutely will cream over"). If that were to happen then they'd try to get Detox out in November on the 10th anniversary and BISD would be shelved to 2010. I guess Interscope has never been more confident that Detox is coming VERY soon(like this year). Supposedly the overwhelmingly positive response to the production on "Relapse" has gotten back to Dre and it's FINALLY given Dre the confidence that his shit is ready. Not to mention that they actually finished Detox last month. Now it's just the mixing and all that bullshit.
We'll see. A lot of this depends on how well Relapse sells. And I'm confident it's doing a million if it has a full week. Nothing's set in stone but I thought it was interesting and I'd share...."

yeah, the buzz is good for the album right now... hope the 3 headed monster gets its head straight and attacks

fuck shelving shit. Dre is ready. This album's production is sick as fuck. 'Underground' is absolutely bulletproof.

if 50 Cent got smart and got some production as dope as Rick Ross's for 'Before I Self Destruct', and Dre chose 15-20 great songs for 'Detox', they can run shit again for 09.

'Relapse 2' better have the guests and the Premier song, and some more ill surprises on it. A Proof tribute and no nasal Leprechaun voice would be nice.
