i'm missing submissions from BruLei, Can-U, Cash, and Smooth Lou. if they don't submit me their stuff ASAP, Dmista and Orale Holmes (Hosana) can step up. Fuzzy Logic (Noah23), you can step up if you'd still like to as a back-up. and one other person as a back-up i could use as well......

i have to say, make sure your submissions are mp3s and also that you give me the exact link. i'll have to extend starting this battle because i realized a few of the links i've gotten aren't working correctly. if i emailed you, fix the problem ASAP or i'll have to give up your spot to someone who sends in their material to be a back-up.

Apparently, I didn't make myself clear when I laid out the rules. Lets do this again.

-DO NOT SEND ME ALL 3 SUBMISSIONS AT THE SAME TIME. You send one....only one song in to sign up. Not all 3. Not 2. Just 1. IF and IF you make it to the next round, send in your next submission. See where I'm going with this. And also, it makes it less confusing for me to know which song you would like to be used for the 1st round. I don't want anyone one of you complaining I put the wrong song up for your battle; which will very well happen if I don't hear back from some of you ASAP.

-SEND THE ACTUAL LINK. The code is ok for the forum but just in case the code is screwed up, I'd like to have to link. Take the link from the browser. I know div share can get tricky with sending the link. Just remember to use the link in the browser area; not the actual embedded code.

yeah, send me the link. to my email. the code is cool but i want the link so i can have something to reference to just in case.

i'm closing the sign-ups, too. i extended it to 10 but only got 8 like i planned before. we'll get this going on Friday. a few those who signed up, i need to clarify their submissions.

Update:

10th submission received from Hosana. Still need clarification on some of the the submissions sent. Battle can start tomorrow.

Also, since there will 10 participants, this how I will set it up.

- 1st round will be 5 match-ups. And the 5 that win out of the 1st round will go the 2nd round. And we'll match it up in this sense: the two with the highest votes will go head to head while the bottom three with go at it amongst each other. The final round will have to be three cats going at it; just to make it simple as far as tracking who goes against who. Also being that we have an odd number to work with.

So the line-up is:

Ayentee
Cash
Bru Lei
Loki
B'Tol
Mike Eagle
Sam Doom
Hosana

After I get one to two more submissions cleared up, we'll get this battle going.

ok, time to explain how i did the match-ups.

everyone that signed up, i placed in alphabetical order:

Ayentee
B'Tol
Bru Lei
Can-U
Cashmere The Pro
Hosana
Intuition
Loki
Mike Eagle
Sam Doom

I took the first name from the top and put it with the last name from the bottom. And worked my way up. Thats why its Sam Doom vs. Ayentee, Mike Eagle vs. B'Tol, and etc.

I'm posting this for any of you have questions about how the match-ups were done.

Talked to Ardy, who says that I should put a song up. All my songs are about love, because I am lame, but this new one is actually pretty good.

The sound won't be very good, I don't think, but I'll record it this weekend anyway and you can listen to it and let me know.

we're wrapping up the 1st round once a i get confirmation on the 2nd round. how we're going to do it is this:

-we'll have one bracket of the two highest voted cats to go against one another. its the top of the food chain bracket.

-since we ended up with an odd number of submissions (different from what i originally planned), we will have the 3 with that won with the lower amounts battle it out in the bottom feeders bracket.

-i did it this way so no one gets a bye in this round. i didn't want to set it up to where we have two sets of battle and one person is left out. wouldn't be fair.

FYI and for those who may question, Mike Eagle and Cashmere were tied with 39 votes. I looked at who did the most damage to their opponent to go with the top seed. Cashmere beat Hosana by 36 votes and Mike beat B'Tol by 29 votes. Not sure if I should've done t differently but I was trying to not give anyone a 'bye' in this tournament no matter what.
