The Beatnuts?
Did something go down with Ju Ju and Psycho Les because they haven't had an album since 2004 and Ju Ju wasn't even on Les's solo album or the Big City album.
Does anyone know?, I miss the Beatnuts sound.

aint nuthin happened....I just saw a recent pic of them together drinkin'.....that's just how things go sometimes when you in a group....the group gotta be in the right frame of mind to drop somethin'....all parties have got to be willing and in it 100%......
As far as why they haven't dropped nuthin new, I think that stems from the fact that their last group album "Milk Me" was pretty shotty, and wasn't revieced too well by their fans....
Les has been busy....he's released 3 new CD's in the past couple of years.....including "Music For The Soul Vol.1" a huge soul music compilation on O.T.S. Records, his debut solo album "Psycho Therapy" dropped in 07' on his label Pit Fight Records and finally also in 07' Les got back with former Beatnut Al Tariq and MC Problems to form the group Big City and release "The City Never Sleeps" LP, on Nature Sounds......
JuJu hasn't been as busy and has yet to release a solo album of his own,. but remains a very sought after producer and a viable lyricist, known for straight up owning his guest spots....

with a title like that any fan would be hard pressed not to be excited....them two are legendary for their production techniques; like being some of the first cats to really dig up ill spanish records and sample them, their technique of recording odd sounds and incorporating them in their production; for example recording a rubber band slapping against a metal chair and then using it as a snare, sampling off old children's records like Seseme Street....man if they do this new shit right and break out some of their illest crate gems they might be able to come back strong.....I have high hopes.....Jaz wrote:I just found that they will have a new album either later in the year or early 2009 titled The Planet of The Crates.
