Thanks for the freestyles step. Never heard that Beatnuts remix, pretty dope!
Admiral, thanks for the comp. Do you or anyone else have the Infamous re-release? Seem to have lost it.
Any Infamous-era stuff would be especially appreciated.

Re: The Firm album - How It Should've Been
Ayo, I spliced together the Nas and Canibus versions of "Desperados" if anyone wants it. Someone get a higher quality Nas rip so we can really make this happen. Nas, Canibus, AZ, Nature - Desperado.mp3 - http://www69.zippyshare.com/v/p6YY99vn/file.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;...

Although I gotta say, Desperados doesn't hold up as well without Canibus on there.

Re: The "this sounds like..." thread
Thanks mud. Blend, just saw the second half of your post, you're looking for something a little different than most the stuff I posted. Always loved the 5 Fingas of Death beat. Pharoahe Monch's Simon Says seems like a good example of the kind of hyped orchestral beat you're after.

Re: The "this sounds like..." thread
i'd probably call these dudes chicago's answer to wu-tang. Absolutely, I can see that. Can anyone recommend some dark orchestral-sample based beats like shabaz.the disciples death is the penalty - I really can't think of much to compare to death be the penalty, but this comes to mind: bm3O7p7y1R4 I...

^Yeah it's too bad Ruberoom only really has that one track with that sound, I dig it.
Was going through Homeliss Derelix tracks earlier and I came across this one.
Very dope. Anything else like this?

The Heltah Skeltah joint reminds me of this:fatboybrandon wrote:Post me some Hip Hop with smooth jazz fusion sample loops and neck-snapping drums in the vein of Undastand by Heltah Skeltah and We Got It Hemmed by Cella Dwellas. In the 90's those weren't too hard to find.

The "this sounds like..." thread
There may be another thread like this somewhere but I haven't come across it. The idea is someone posts a song or two with a sound they like, then someone else posts a song with a similar sound along with another song they want matched. Pretty simple, should be a good way to discover new music. To s...

^Diggin the Nas-T Howie track. So I said this: Man, I would do just about anything for a cleaned up version of that Bridge 94 track. And now of course we have a HQ release via "The Infamous Sessions". And funny enough, I think I kind of prefer the lofi, hah. http://www54.zippyshare.com/v/37217154/fi...
