I remember this group. I always liked their joint "Carpal Tunnelin' Operatives". Only ever heard their 12" single, so thanks for the link.

Re: Ed Piskor's Hip Hop Family Tree Comic
Got started on this last night. Not a massive comic book fan myself, but this is something I can get down with. Love it so far and looking forward to the next installments. Props to Big Sleep.

I bought a copy, not entirely confident that I'll ever see it but I'll let you know what turns up. Seems strange that they would bother re-issuing cassette copies to sell at such a low price (i.e. instead of re-issuing it on CD or selling the tapes for a lot more) so I'm guessing these are left-ove...

Kirsch, Aleph and all the ID'ers on here.. Do you guys want to split up the un-IDed shows amongst each other? I think in the long run we will accomplish more and do it at a faster rate this way... Then each person can up the tracklist for their assigned show and if there are any missing pieces we ca...

^Yo, Krisch, I haven't listened to this one. Is it Reggie Reg from the Crash Crew, Mad Skillz, Lonnie B & Danja Mowf? If so, I misattributed those guests to the 7/25/96 show w/Adagio. It's on one of bomba's tapes that might have been unmarked. ! Yeah that's them. Does bomba's tape have the tracks a...

Anyone know the deal with this "limited" record from 2008?: http://www.discogs.com/Nas-Original-Demo-Tape-The-Album/release/1567170 I'm gonna guess that the quality is not high and that Deja Vu has drops? EDIT: this is written in the notes under the release at discogs: Pretending to be an official ...

Verge - Co-sign your blog post about $80 limiteds coming to an end. This is truly a great sight to see as an avid vinyl collector with a ever-shrinking budget at my side. This year we have seen No Sleep Recordings cut down their price in half! From $80 to $40 with the new GD and Nick Wiz 2XLP. A new...

In the early Ebay days, i bought 3 copies of the Ras Kass On Earth.../Jack Frost test press for 4$ each. The crazy thing is these 12"es weren't even listed. I bought a couple of Jazz records and asked the seller for additional cheap records and he offered a couple of Rainbo test pressings, includin...

Japan have been booting a hell of a lot of shit. Not sure why, but this made me laugh. I have visions of the Japanese government hatching a plot to bootleg obscure golden-era hiphop records, as part of a masterplan to take over the world. A lot of random rap indies. Here are a couple I could think ...

Speaking of bootlegs, anyone catch those Corner 2 Corner bootlegs popping up on eBay and whatnot lately? A discogs note says they are coming from Japan. No real surprise considering the value of the original, but people are not mentioning that it's a bootleg at all - I believe you can tell based on...
