I understand the hate, but I dig the concept. Quick, easy promo. The song choices were interesting. I think it would have worked better if you had 2 verses per song. That way the songs would seem more like "yours." It would be like Wale on that Lily Allen "Smile" or Ghostface on that Amy Winehouse so...

Really? I used to like dude's beats a lot but this is on some way too laid back VH1 wake up New Radicals steez. What is he doing? Happy and uninteresting is a terrible combo.

Also, I've never seen him before and am a little uneasy with him looking like a Winn-Dixie produce manager.

Thanks, y'all. I'm gonna check these out when I get home.

I'm kinda disappointed Blastmaster didn't come through with something obscure like Lil Silas tha Kotenpicka's reinterpretation of Bangles' classics.

Really? I guess I assumed that with all the mixtapes that pop up each week, I'd be bound to miss a few.

We can extend the criteria beyond "recently" to the last 10 years or so.

Thanks, again.

Songs that sample the 80's ?

Recently I've gotten a lot of tracks from here that use samples from 80's songs (collected below if you missed any). Are there any more recent tracks that flip 80's samples? Any uploads are very appreciated. Peace. Super Knife Attack Market - Alien feat. J West, Savage and Gilles <object classid="cl...

His stuff basically falls into categories: short, semi-autobiographical love stories (Norwegian Wood, Sputnik Sweetheart, South of the Border, West if the Sun) OR dream-like epic, quest books (The Wind-up Bird Chronicle, Kafka by the Shore, Wild Sheep Chase, Dance Dance Dance, After Dark). His short...

Please throw up an Outliers review after you finish. His books are always available in Korea, so I have checked the first two (liked them both). My to-be-read stack is too high right now to justify the purchase. If you can find it, listen to his story on The Moth podcast. Its about him fucking aroun...

Your name phonetically, please? Tie-yah-moe Dank-koo? Am I close? What is that, like Laotian?

I'm not trying to be rude, but I just hate to read shit that I don't know how to say out loud.

Homie, you cool. Sometimes you say some wacky shit (who doesnt?), but your enthusiasm for the one thing we all presumably agree upon is daunting.

Keep it up.

Phila as a whole may hate, but whatever, some dudes are always gonna wanna piss in the soup.

How about a Pop Music/Blastmaster thread?

Drop knowledge of recent pop hits. Uploads are greatly appreciated. Its summer in Florida so I need some happy music. I don't spend time around high school girls anymore, so I am clueless of whats new and good... or even slightly old and good. Heres a summer-ish jam from abroad: The Turtles -- Airpl...

I've seen very few not already mentioned. I liked Welcome to Dongmakgol -- Set during the Korean War. Shows the interaction between the North, South and Americans. The style of the movie was unlike anything I'd seen before. Overly dramatic and surreal, but I liked it. Taeguki -- set during the begin...

1. Anchorman
2. Virgin
3. Old School
4. Wedding Crashers

I havent seen Knocked Up, but I am surprised it is in so many people's number 1 spot.

Anchorman is clearly the best here. It was the most original and quotable. The other three are just a bit lower, but pretty much all tied for 2nd place.

I'm not sure of the name. I think it is called "Kick Out the Snow."

I heard it on a wuk mix, which was pretty badass btw.

Thanks in advance.
